Giving Tuesday

We finally found peace.  In fact, my time in DVCCC was the most peaceful period of my life. It felt like home. Now, I feel empowered. Not only did we survive, but we are thriving and I couldn’t have done it without the staff, or as I refer to them: my family at DVCCC.  It is rare to find such dedication, support, and love in any place of business. They didn’t just hug me, they held me together.

Giving Tuesday

Thank You For Giving

Thanks to your generosity, we raised over $4,200 to support the Domestic Violence Center’s many services and programs.

We are capable of so much more when our community comes together for #GiveForDV

Together, we at DVCCC believe the following:

  • We believe that all people are entitled to a safe environment free from violence. We recognize that every person is at risk, and we are committed to working collectively and cooperatively to end violence in our community.

  • We believe that each person has the ability and right to control their own life. We are committed to empowerment-based support services which affirm a person’s competence to make decisions.

  • We believe we must take an active role in increasing the public’s awareness that domestic violence is a crime and in advocating systems change, to reduce tolerance for domestic violence in our community.

The volunteers, board members, and staff at DVCCC are committed to this philosophy, but we cannot do it alone. Your impact can be felt with a gift of any size:

  • $25 can purchase a pharmacy gift card or provide help with cab or bus fare for a family to get to our safe house

  • $50 provides one night of safe lodging and food for a family

  • $100 can support an evening support group for our adults and children

  • $200 supports free legal representation for a Protection From Abuse Order

  • $250 provides one week of Transitional Housing for a family

Your support makes all the difference!
